Work History and Qualifications
Since 2000, I have been working with students from kindergarten through adult. In grades 3 and up, I have primarily tutored in math, algebra and English grammar and language skills. I am certified in SLO County to substitute teach in the public schools. At Trinity Lutheran Church I have been a substitute teacher, volunteer classroom math aide, and a tutor working independently on class curriculum with students needing individualized instruction. Outside the classroom, I have been working privately with students to clarify assignments, provide individualized instruction and focus students on their lessons. I have also had ESL training through the county volunteer program
In addition to working with students in math and English language arts, I have worked as a volunteer Sunday school teacher for grades pre-school through 1st. I enjoy working with children of all ages, especially in helping them to understand material that they find difficult or encouraging them in keeping up with their assignments.
Work history includes years of training and instruction in the corporate and non-profit environments including staff training, management training, development of training materials and aids, presentations and professional publications. These skills are brought to my study and tutor sessions and are applicable to students of all ages.
